‘Missile’ found in Thessaloniki turns out to be car part

Authorities in Thessaloniki said on Wednesday that an object found on Tuesday that was suspected of being a World War II-era missile was in fact a discarded car engine part.
It was found by workers during restoration work on a listed building.
A road lane was closed to traffic while the area around the Olympos-Naousa building where the part was found on Nikis Avenue was sealed off as explosives experts examined it.
