Authorities announce 183 new coronavirus cases, four deaths

Greek health authorities on Monday announced 183 new coronavirus cases and four new related fatalities.

Of the new cases, 10 were detected at the country's border entry points.

The total number of Covid-19 cases now stands at 10,317 with 266 deaths.

There are 36 patients on ventilators, while 153 have been discharged from intensive care units.

The Greek capital once more accounted for the bulk of new coronavirus cases on Monday, with 107 of the 183 reported infections.

The region of Thessaloniki fared better, with just nine of Monday’s cases, though other parts of northern Greece appear to be struggling to contain the spread of the virus, as nine cases were reported in Kozani, eight in Imathia and three in Kavala, among others.

The islands of the Cyclades had seven new cases and the northwestern region of Ioannina had six.
