Poll: Games visitors left venues happy

Hardly any spectators left Olympic venues during the Athens Games unhappy with the spectacle or the facilities, according to a survey released yesterday. Almost 95 percent of ticket-holders declared themselves «more or less» or «totally» satisfied with what they had seen, a poll of 5,028 Greek and foreign spectators by MRB Hellas, VPRC and Research Intl found. Some 95.4 percent voiced approval for the facilities. The Galatsi table tennis and gymnastics venue enjoyed top ratings at 98 percent. With 31.1 percent of spectators using it to travel to and from venues, the bus was the most popular form of public transport. And 96.8 percent of visitors voiced very positive feelings about Greece. Visitors were less enthusiastic about their accommodation, especially its cost. Seventy-four percent were satisfied with their hotels or rooms but only 57.6 percent thought it was worth the money they paid.
