Turkish Navtex reserves area southwest of Cyprus

Turkey has issued a new navigational telex (Navtex) reserving an area within the Mediterranean island’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

The Office of Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography issued the Navtex from the Antalya station for Turkey’s Barbaros seismic survey vessel late Tuesday.

The Navtex reserves an area off the southwestern coast of Cyprus until February 16.
