816 new coronavirus cases; 48 deaths

Greek health authorities announced 816 new coronavirus cases over the past day, a number significantly higher than during the past days.

There were also 48 deaths, the National Public Health Organization said.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 142,267 confirmed cases, with 5,099 deaths.

The number of patients on ventilators is currently 399.
