Up to 10,000 people…
Up to 10,000 people from the town of Lamia, in central Greece, demonstrated yesterday morning to demand improvements to a local stretch of the national road from Athens to Thessaloniki where seven schoolchildren were killed in an accident on Monday. Protesters blocked off the highway for over two hours, causing long traffic jams. Four smaller such protests were held in the area.
