First trial run…
Transport Minister Michalis Liapis stands next to the driver during yesterday’s first trial run of the new suburban rail link from Athens to Corinth. The railway is expected to start operating in May, and will cover the 88-kilometer route in 55 minutes. Work on the new line started in 1996, and the final budget is expected to reach 475 million euros.
