ANA The lines of cars were kilometers-long at the few gas stations that still had fuel in Thessaloniki yesterday, the third day of a strike by owners of tanker trucks. The truck owners are protesting at the deregulation of their profession, which they claim will allow non-union members to transport fuel. Thessaloniki’s regional governor, Costas Papadopoulos, called for a prosecutor to intervene, saying that the truckers have been assured their demands would be met.
