The moon sets early…
The moon sets early yesterday morning behind an Olympic Games sculpture in the beachfront suburb of Palaio Faliron in southern Athens. Last night, Athenians headed for a number of the capital’s vantage points to catch a glimpse of the full moon, which was bigger than it normally is, as the distance between the Earth and its only natural satellite was at its closest – approximately 357,000 kilometers – until 2007.
