Holidaymakers jammed the port of Piraeus yesterday to catch ferries to the Aegean islands as the summer season is about to enter its peak two-week period. Problems with late or overbooked ships, which have plagued Attica’s main port in recent days, appear to have been straightened out and no major delays were reported.
