A lone walker braves a rainstorm while following a march in central Athens yesterday organized by the country’s largest union group GSEE and civil servants union ADEDY. The demonstration was held to protest proposed changes to labor relations at public utilities. Yesterday’s strike disrupted flights, ferry services and public transport. It also hit most industries and public services. Strikes will continue today with public transport again grinding to a halt. Flights will also be disrupted for a second day running. National carrier Olympic Airlines will operate one flight a day to each domestic and foreign destination.
