Tracks left behind…

Tracks left behind in meter-deep snow that covered a beach in the prefecture of Larissa, central Greece, yesterday as the cold snap continued its grip on the country. Schools in Athens’s northern suburbs were closed due to the bad weather while snow-clearing equipment was used to help keep roads clear for motorists. Several villages in the mountains of Crete were also cut off due to snowfall, which was also responsible for some power cuts.
