Residents of Horefto in southern Pelion yesterday examine the corpse of a 4-ton sperm whale, dragged to shore by special equipment provided by local authorities. The washed-up whale, measuring nearly 8 meters in length and aged between 3 and 4 years, was spotted by a local resident. The mammal appeared to have been struck by the propellor of a ship, authorities said following the discovery.
