The snow-covered crag of the Acrocorinth, crowned with a medieval castle, rises behind the limestone columns of the 6th-century BC Temple of Apollo in ancient Corinth yesterday. Although Greece’s principal roads were passable yesterday after major problems between Athens and Lamia on Friday and Saturday, many parts of the country remained snowed under. The weather will improve considerably as of Thursday, forecasts said yesterday.
