Museum decision Greece’s highest administrative court, the Council of State, officially issued a ruling on Saturday against the State’s donation of a central Athens plot for the construction of a private modern art museum. The Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation’s museum, meant to contain the foundation’s extensive 20th-century art collection, was supposed to have been built in the Rizario Park, opposite the National Art Gallery. Ship fire A fire aboard the Millennium Express II freighter was brought under control yesterday by firefighting craft as the Panamanian-registered vessel drifted off the Strofades islets in the Ionian Sea. Its 22 seamen were safely evacuated after the fire started on Saturday.
