New Zealand’s governor general, Dame Silvia Cartwright, inspects the Presidential Guard alongside President Karolos Papoulias in Athens yesterday. New Zealand’s ties with the European Union and an exchange program for young people from Greece and New Zealand were among the topics the pair discussed. Cartwright also met with Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis and is due to meet Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis today.
