Thieves drive off with 13 dealership vehicles

Thieves stole 13 vehicles worth more than 400,000 euros from a car dealership in Glyfada, southeast Athens, last weekend in a heist police suspect may have involved an employee at the company. The theft took place sometime between Saturday afternoon, when it closed for the day, and opening time on Monday morning, when employees noticed that 13 vehicles were missing from the car lot. Police said that the thieves entered the building by breaking open one of the windows in the workshop area and then proceeding into the sales offices, where the keys to the cars were stored. They then drove away with five vehicles that were there for a service and another eight brand-new imported cars that only been cleared through customs a few days earlier.
