Doctor drain
Stathis Tsoukalos, president of the Association of Hospital Doctors of Athens and Piraeus (EINAP) says: «The drain of doctors is a fact and is due first to the very low salaries paid to hospital doctors (net monthly pay of 1,250-2,000 euros) and, secondly, to high levels of unemployment. There are fewer positions than are needed and than the number of graduates.»
