SYNGROU ACCIDENT

Two people killed by car while waiting at bus stop Two people were killed and another was seriously injured late on Saturday when a car ran into a bus stop on Syngrou Avenue, close to Aghios Sostis in southeastern Athens. A 23-year-old female student and an 55-year-old man were killed while they were waiting for the bus. A 20-year-old woman was also seriously injured. DANIILIDOU WIN Korean Open final victory Greek tennis player Eleni Daniilidou, 24, won the Korean Open final yesterday with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 victory over fourth-seeded Japanese opponent Ai Sugiyama for her career’s fourth WTA singles title and first in well over two years. Prefect attacked A 60-year-old man was detained by police in Thessaloniki yesterday after he threw yogurt at local Prefect Panayiotis Psomiadis.
