According to experts, a compulsive gambler’s symptoms can include: – An obsession with anything to do with gambling. – A need to place bigger and bigger bets. – Becoming irritable or aggressive when trying to stop betting. – Using gambling as an escape. – Persistence even after winning large sums. – Borrowing money to support habit. – lying to family about their habit. – Mood swings according to whether they win or lose. According to the center, gamblers’ physical health can also be affected by chronic headaches and migraines, gastric problems, panic attacks, depression and even suicidal tendencies.
