Prostitution ring exposed

Undercover police have arrested six people for allegedly participating in a high-class call girl ring, the organized crime department of Attica police said yesterday. Sources said that the ring’s clients included people from the world of business and entertainment. One of those arrested is a 40-year-old man who owns an advertising agency in central Athens that was used as a front to arrange dates between prostitutes and customers willing to pay 1,100 euros per visit. Officers said the women, from Greece and Albania, were only given 300 euros for each visit. Police said that customers would pick the call girl they wanted from a photo album which the unnamed suspect kept at his office. A policeman pretending to be a wealthy businessman set up a date with three prostitutes from the firm. The women were arrested in the luxury hotel room where they were due to meet their date. Two other unnamed men alleged to be part of the ring were also arrested.
