Prime Minister…

Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis (second from left) stands yesterday among the newly unveiled wax figures of late Greek statesmen Constantine Karamanlis (the current premier’s uncle), Andreas Papandreou (left) and Eleftherios Venizelos (right) at Madame Tussauds, the famous wax museum in London. Tourism Minister Fanni Palli-Petralia unveiled the wax figures at a ceremony and said that the three Greek leaders helped the country become a member of the ‘European family.’ Karamanlis is expected to meet with his British counterpart Tony Blair in London today.
