Major Eleni Papanastassiou, consultant anaesthetist and deputy commander of the Greek hospital operating at Kabul airport, is shown giving lessons to Afghan doctors yesterday. The doctors yesterday completed a one-month medical course under the guidance of Greek medical staff. The Greek hospital unit, which is part of the international peacekeeping force in Afghanistan, has been operating since August 2005. It offers free medical care to peacekeeping staff as well as local people.
