Unknown purposes?
With over 10 years’ experience of compiling data for the land registry and over three years of operating the land registry offices, both the project’s management and production team know what needs to be done and how to go about it so that the other areas in the country are incorporated into the scheme and services are improved in the land registry offices. The land registry is a powerful modern institution and not just another modernized bureaucratic procedure. The institutional framework for continuing, funding and operating the project exists. It has been provided for in the law passed in 2006. Therefore, there is no need to make new studies or create further delays. The division of the program into two, as imposed by the EU, could be just for official purposes. We agree on the whole but not on the parts. Perhaps this serves purposes of expediency that have not been disclosed. Y. Alavanos heads the Greek Technical Chamber.
