24-hour roadblock…

Tractors are seen lined up along the Platykambos junction of the Athens-Thessaloniki national road yesterday in preparation for a 24-hour roadblock by farmers today. The farmers, from Larissa, plan to close the highway from noon today because they claim that the government has not paid them the compensation packages that it had promised. Farmers from Domokos, central Greece, said they will also close the national road at Thermopylae from about 8 a.m. but have not decided for how long.
