Man arrested for fratricide
Police in Athens yesterday arrested a 60-year-old man suspected of killing his 63-year-old brother after the pair had an argument over the business they owned in the western suburb of Aegaleo. The brothers, who were not named, allegedly began squabbling about finances at their shoe factory at around noon on Saturday. The suspect shot his brother in his left leg, causing a serious wound. The 60-year-old then got into his car and drove off, according to police. The 63-year-old man was taken to the hospital in nearby Nikaia but died soon afterward. His brother was arrested at Erythros Stavros hospital where he had checked in suffering from health problems. Police have instructed a coroner to determine the exact cause of death of the 63-year-old as he too suffered from heart problems.
