A hunter shot and killed a man he mistook for a wild boar on a hunting trip near Tripolis, in the Peloponnese, authorities said yesterday. Authorities did not name the suspect but identified the victim as Vassilis Lambropoulos, the brother of Messinian MP and former deputy defence minister Yannis Lambropoulos. The circumstances surrounding the accident were not clear and police said they have launched an investigation. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital in Tripolis. The suspect has been arrested and remanded in custody, police added.
