Spraying water…

Residents of the Aghios Pavlos district in Thessaloniki had a soggy surprise yesterday morning when a central pipe of the city’s underground water network was punctured during an archaeological dig, spraying water over the area for five hours and flooding roads. In order to repair the pipe, authorities had to cut off the water supply to parts of the city. According to water authorities, archaeologists digging in the area had no permit. By late last night, the water supply had started returning to normal.
