Young girl’s gang rape under investigation
Authorities in the Peloponnese revealed yesterday that they are investigating the claims of an underage girl that two men raped her while a third recorded the incident on a mobile phone. The unnamed girl told police that on January 25 the three men took her to a house that belonged to one of the assailants. She told police that her attackers threatened her with physical violence before raping her. The alleged victim claims that the men then sent the footage of her being raped to other people. It is not clear why she delayed in contacting the authorities. Police believed there was enough evidence to form a case and forwarded the file to the court of first instance in Nafplion, which has instructed officers to bring the suspects in for questioning. The age and identity of the girl were not made public.
