Man buried murdered wife in Psychico park
A music teacher was taken into custody yesterday after allegedly confessing to the murder of his wife and the mother of the couple’s two children and showing police the spot in a park in Filothei where he had buried her body. Officers said they uncovered the unnamed 36-year-old’s body yesterday evening in Pikioni Park in the northern Athens suburb. The woman, also a music teacher, had been missing from her home in nearby Psychico since September 16. Police had questioned her husband for several hours, as they considered him a suspect, but he did not confess to murdering his wife until yesterday, when he led officers to the park. Officers said that the 36-year-old’s body bore marks that indicated she had been hit several times with various objects.
