MPs voted…

An Olympic Airlines worker protests outside Parliament yesterday, as MPs voted on a draft law that lays out the future of the national carrier’s employees once it is privatized. Those plans include moving workers to other parts of the public sector and offering a 1.3-billion-euro package for early retirement or relocation. The OA unions are against the proposals as they do not want the airline to be privatized. The bill was passed in principle thanks to 150 votes in favor and 134 against. The government is set to announce tomorrow the companies that are interested in bidding for Olympic.
