Annual Ragoutsaria carnival…

Kastoria residents yesterday paraded through the northern city dressed as scarecrows for the annual Ragoutsaria carnival. The festival, which dates back to antiquity, is believed to have taken its name from the Spanish word ‘regatones’ which means street hawkers and explains the outfits.
