Law enforcers stage anti-violence protest

Hundreds of policemen joined a rally in front of Parliament yesterday to protest violence following a series of attacks on policemen, responsibility for which was claimed this week by terrorist group Revolutionary Struggle. The officers held banners reading ‘No to violence’ and ‘Behind every police uniform there is a human life.’ The police staged their rally just two hours before a march by students but there were no reports of any trouble.
