University entrance process…
Education Minister Aris Spiliotopoulos gestures during the 60th congress of university rectors, which was held in Karpenisi, central Greece, over the weekend. Spiliotopoulos was unable to come away from the meeting with an agreement on the university entrance process, which is one of the subjects he has put up for discussion. The debate centers around whether entrance requirements should be scrapped altogether or whether the current system of a minimum 50 percent passing mark should be kept and possibly tweaked. The rectors could not agree on a common position and will discuss the matter in June.
