Snowfall over the weekend…
A resident of Livadi, near Thessaloniki, watches a worker clear away snow yesterday. Many parts of northern Greece saw snowfall over the weekend, but most problems for motorists were caused by heavy rainfall. Two men had to be rescued from a car in Thermi, near Thessaloniki, on Saturday after becoming trapped in the vehicle by a sudden torrent of water.
