Greeks and Turks join forces in rescue exercise

Members of Greek and Turkish military rescue teams help a ‘survivor’ in a simulated response to an earthquake staged near Ankara yesterday. The joint exercise by the Greeks (in blue) and Turks (in red) is aimed at improving the two countries’ readiness for major earthquakes, such as the one that hit L’Aquila in central Italy on Monday.
