Rapidly rising Greek tennis player Eleni Daniilidou, 19, holds aloft the trophy on Saturday after winning the grass court Ordina Open in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Daniilidou, the first Greek player to win a professional international tournament, yesterday beat Croatia’s Jelena Kostanic 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Wimbledon tournament in the UK. She now ranks 38th in the Women’s Tennis Association standings, up from number 84 in January.
