Ten suspects eyed in child porn crackdown
An international operation to track down people trading child pornography has resulted in cases being built against 10 people in Greece, two of whom have already been arrested, police revealed yesterday. Members of the police’s electronic crimes squad have been investigating Greek connections to child porn for the last three months before tracing the 10 people they believe have been trading hardcore images of young children. The suspects are located in Athens, Thessaloniki, Spetses, Corfu and Igoumenitsa, officers said without giving details about where the two arrests were made. They said, however, that they had seized 12 computer hard disks, a laptop and dozens of CDs and DVDs with indecent images of young children. Police did not identify any of the suspects.
