Former Olympic staff seek to depart on time
Employees of the now defunct Olympic Airlines staged a rally outside the Labor Ministry yesterday, protesting a government decision not to ratify a decree signed by the previous conservative administration that would settle the terms of their departure. The cash-strapped PASOK government has deemed that the 700 million euros needed to secure the employees’ departure from the now-privatized national carrier would be too great a burden for state finances.
