Fresh blazes challenge firefighters
A water-dropping aircraft swoops over a burnt stretch of land in Ancient Nemea, near Corinth, where a fire broke out yesterday. Firefighters had brought the blaze under partial control by nightfall. On the northeastern Aegean island of Samos, firemen extinguished a large blaze that had forced the evacuation of hundreds of tourists on Monday.
