Sit-in protest at OLP’s offices…
Dockers from Perama, west of Athens, staged a protest in Piraeus yesterday before marching toward the Piraeus Port Authority (OLP). The workers staged a sit-in protest at OLP’s offices. They were demanding better prospects for their unemployed colleagues and an overhaul of facilities at the Perama dockyards to draw more business. A range of laborers are employed at Perama, where cargo ships dock for repairs.
