Cycling bon viveurs enjoy a New Year’s drink
Members of Cycling For Wine, a group of fanatical cyclists who also appreciate a good vintage, enjoy a drink of champagne on New Year’s Day on Lycabettus Hill after cycling from central Athens to the coastal suburb of Glyfada and back to the city. Participants in the 1st Athens Champagne Ride also cut traditional New Year’s Eve cakes, each containing a coin purported to bring good luck to whoever finds it.
