From would-be governor to party leader?
Independent MP Yiannis Dimaras prepares to launch a new political movement with fellow deputy Yiannis Economou yesterday. Both men were expelled from PASOK for voting against the EU-IMF memorandum. Dimaras, who won some 230,000 votes when he ran for Attica governor in 2010, said the Independent Citizens’ Movement could become a party.
