Relics of St.Nicholas in Athens
ANA – The relics of St. Nicholas, patron saint of seamen, arrived in the port of Piraeus yesterday from Italy on board the navy frigate Spetses to a welcome from Bishop Kallinikos of Piraeus and Merchant Marine Minister Giorgos Anomeritis. The relics are to go on public display until December 14 in the Aghios Spyridon Church in Piraeus, after which they will be transferred to a permanent home on the eastern Aegean island of Inousses.
