KARAMANLIS: Thessaloniki, 5 – The Public Works Minister, Mr Karamanlis, has gone to Serres, Sidirokastro, Nigrita and other districts in the prefecture of Serres to hear various local issues and review the Strymonas project. On his return to Athens the day after tomorrow, he will chair a meeting of relevant services and representatives of all organizations in order to examine various issues concerning the city that come under his jurisdiction. ACADEMIC GOWN: A ruling establishing the official dress (academic gown) for university professors at official ceremonies has been published in the Government Gazette. LUFTHANSA: London, 6 – According to reports from Frankfurt, the government of West Germany has made a million marks available for the founding of a large airline as soon as air corridors into Germany are restored in exchange for its alliance with the West. Walter Kreipe, a former general with the Luftwaffe, is a member of the council that is to manage the new company.
