ANDREAS PAPANDREOU: Patras, 22 (From our correspondent) – Tomorrow the leader of the Liberal party, Mr George Papandreou, arrives in Patras, accompanied by his son (Andreas), who is a university professor in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the US, and Andreas’s wife (Margaret). Mr Papandreou will remain in the town until Monday (May 25) for the purpose of meeting with his friends. KAROUSOS: It has been officially acknowledged that the actor known as Karousos, or Karousos Tzavalas to give him his full name, has been arrested by general security police and is to be sent once more into internal exile for resuming his communist activities. It has also been announced that various officers of the Thessaly gendarmerie have submitted reports to the Interior Ministry to the effect that Karousos, while heading a touring theater company, had spread propaganda in favor of communism during his stay in various towns in the region. MENELAOS LOUDEMIS: Meanwhile it has also been announced that the writer Menelaos Loudemis, who has also been detained as a communist, has not been taken into custody in order to be sent once more into exile. On the contrary, he has been taken out of exile in order to be examined by doctors and has been admitted to hospital.
