All hands on deck

Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was appointed to the Cabinet in order to handle a burning issue. He is doing his job adequately and efficiently.

The differences between Mitsotakis and his predecessors – who either came up with ways to appoint their own people or simply took to studying the issues – is clear for all to see.

Even when counting on the complete support of the country’s prime minister, however, one minister alone cannot bring about the public sector’s overhaul.

If the rest of the cabinet ministers are afraid of their own shadows and continue to spend all their energy on political tricks, then the government and the country in general will soon find themselves at a dead end.

Everyone, without exception, must assume responsibility and stop fearing the political cost which brought the country to bankruptcy in the first place.
