THIRTY PERCENT MORE EXPENSIVE: The Trade Undersecretariat has sent the new price list for restaurants and other such establishments to the relevant authorities. The list notes that the new prices for some menu items, especially oil-based dishes, have risen due to the overpricing of oil and rice. For prices of over 2,000 drachmas, 300 drachmas will be added per 1,000 drachmas. ZACHOS HADZIFOTIOU: Early yesterday morning (June 30) there was a serious accident on Syngrou Avenue near the Faliron racetrack in which two members of Athens’s high society – Mr Zachos Hadzifotiou and Mrs Nanda Papadopoulou – were injured. The car in which they were traveling belongs to Mr Hadzifotiou and was being driven by Mrs Papadopoulou. As it was traveling up Syngrou Avenue, it crashed into a tree. Mr Hadzifotiou is an avid race car driver and his car, an Alfa Romeo, had recently taken part in the latest rally. PAO-DOXA DRAMA 2-2: According to a newswire from Drama, the Doxa team’s new stadium was inaugurated yesterday in the presence of local authorities and other officials. The celebrations included a match between Panathinaikos and Doxa, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The goals were scored by Tsiboukidis and Philippou for PAO and Antonakoulis of Doxa.
