Stability is the key

There is nothing to be gained from political parties abusing one another. Greece has already suffered enough from politicians who are bent on getting to power by disparaging their opponents at every opportunity and making promises that they cannot possibly fulfill.

Even in recent times, the country could have avoided a multitude of problems and much heartache if its key political players had managed to reach some kind of consensus on the fundamental issues.

This year represents a turning point for Greece. The economy is finally showing signs that it can rebound and start growing once more. But for this to happen, we need the country’s politicians to take the matter seriously and to be more level-headed in their approach to each other.

If Greece is allowed to become a political battlefield where anything goes, we will be kissing any chance of recovery goodbye. Without political stability and a basic level of cross-party consensus, no country can really move forward.
