ARISTOTLE: The senate of Thessaloniki University has approved a motion by the rector, Mr Marinos Sigalas, to submit a request to the Education Ministry to rename the institution the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. SALVADOR DE MADARIAGA: The distinguished Spanish writer, diplomat and politician Salvador de Madariaga is expected to arrive in Athens today. RADIO PROGRAM: Shortly before «Children’s Hour» and the school divinity program the other day, a broadcast was heard on the Armed Forces Radio Station of the song about the robber Sotirhainas, who 20 years ago killed Stamos’s child in Thebes. It would do no harm to take greater care with programming. OLYMPIAKOS-PAOK 4-1: The Olympiakos soccer team beat PAOK 4-1 on Sunday (September 13) at the Panathinaikos Stadium before a crowd of thousands of spectators. The best player that day was Ioannou, who scored two of the four goals. The other two goals for Olympiakos were scored by Karpathakis and Darivas. The sole PAOK goal was scored by Kouiroukidis. Many smokers caught having an illicit puff on the bus have been sent summons and fined heavily by courts in Halandri and Kifissia.
